Activities to learn more about studying Maths at University.
Taster Day
Spend a day with us at the University of Leeds experiencing a range of mathematical activities with an optional tour of the campus and talk about studying mathematics at university. The day culminates with the W. P. Milne lecture in celebration of a former Professor of Mathematics who joined the University in 1919.
Summer School
This short course provides an introduction to student life and mathematics at the University of Leeds. We offer you a sneak preview of university life plus an insight into how mathematics develops at degree level. Our University lecturers will extend and enrich your existing study of mathematics at A-level (or equivalent) through a series of talks.
Masterclasses
The University of Leeds holds an annual course of Royal Institutions Mathematics Masterclasses for year 9 pupils. Attendees must be nominated by their school and then will be invited to attend 6 consecutive Saturday mornings at the University, where they will receive masterclasses from different lecturers covering subjects outside the school curriculum.
