With Insight - Black heritage mentoring programme

Since 2022 The University of Leeds has partnered with With Insight, on their 'Insight2Uni' mentoring programme. Working with high potential black-heritage A-Level students in the local region, the programme provides support during the pivotal period of applying to university.

Each year we aim to recruit 20 University of Leeds students studying a range of STEM subjects to mentor 40 Year 12 pupils in the Yorkshire and Humber region. The mentors meet their mentees online, once a month, from March until November.

In addition, the mentees will have the chance to visit the University campus to engage with the university community and get the support they need to complete a high-class application to university.
