STEM Days

We are committed to delivering a number of STEM Days on campus throughout the academic year for key stage 3- 4 students to explore a variety of STEM subjects in one day.

These include activities such as taster lectures, practical activities in labs, a campus tour plus the opportunity to meet undergraduate and postgraduate students that are studying STEM subjects at University of Leeds.

Students are invited to learn about areas of STEM that they may not be familiar with, often with a theme overarching the day, in preparation for students to make informed decisions about subjects they might like to specialise in at FE and HE.

Previous examples include sustainability, environment, maths and medicine. In addition to exploring STEM courses available at university, students will work with academics to develop practical skills in the lab with specialist equipment.
