“Mathematics and storytelling” by Vinay Kathotia from the Nuffield Foundation.

There are some remarkable stories in mathematics, and mathematics in some captivating stories. And despite the preoccupation with truth and proof, much of mathematics is 'storytelling'. At times pure flights of fancy and often a fabrication to fit or model the world around us. We will engage in some mathematical storytelling and explore how storytelling provides frameworks for mathematical activity, helping weave together the concrete and the abstract.
