The world is eagerly awaiting an approved vaccine to bring COVID-19 under control but what is involved in creating, testing, manufacturing and distributing medicines?
In this talk we look at how a drug goes from idea to market, we’ll take a look at identifying targets, synthesising, testing and producing, at each step taking time to consider the people who make this possible.
About this event
This event is for Year 12 and 13 students interested in studying Chemistry at Higher Education. Teaching Fellow Felix Janeway will give the lecture.
To attend you must:
– Have teacher and parental permission to attend
– Be studying Chemistry A-level
Places will be prioritised according to subjects studied and our widening access measures. Teachers are advised to book on behalf of your class, max 10 per school.
