The Engineering outreach programme invites students to develop key skills, experience what it would be like to study Engineering at Higher Education and explore an Engineer’s role in society and the careers and options within it.
Join us to experience life as an undergraduate engineer by carrying out practical activities in our teaching labs, exploring the campus and speaking to current staff and students in the Faculty of Engineering.
Learning outcomes will include exploring functional properties of materials, process and materials testing as well as taking on their own a design challenge.

The Engineering Colouring Book has been designed to showcase the breadth and importance of engineering careers and roles in our everyday lives. We hope that it will act as a positive influence on young people in terms of their future careers, and also encourage their interest in maths and science at school.
To celebrate their 100 year birthday the Royal Air Force have produced an activity book designed for use with primary learners. This is a free resource and consists of a 32-page PDF document with activities focusing on comprehension, maths and science. A teacher/facilitator document is also available to support you in using the activity book in your classroom.
